Project Overview
In the summer of 2023, Celtic FC embarked on a pre-season tour of Japan, a key market for the club due to its strong Japanese player connections and growing international fanbase. The campaign aimed to promote the tour fixtures, build excitement among both local and global supporters, and reinforce Celtic’s international brand presence. Social media video content and visual branding played a central role in connecting with fans overseas and showcasing the club’s identity on a global stage.






My Role
As the graphic & motion designer on the project, I worked on the creative delivery of the campaign’s video content and branding. From concept development through to final execution, I designed visuals and produced video assets that highlighted the tour’s significance and the players’ ties to Japan. I collaborated closely with Celtic’s Marketing Manager throughout, responding to feedback and ensuring the creative output aligned with the club’s established style while also appealing to an international audience.
Final Solution
The campaign successfully generated high engagement across Celtic’s digital platforms and created strong anticipation for the Japan fixtures. The video content and branding helped amplify Celtic’s presence overseas, resonating with Japanese fans and the wider global support. The tour itself drew impressive crowds and media attention, strengthening Celtic’s profile in an important international market and underlining the value of strong creative storytelling in building the club’s global reach.
